We are craving this already! Say hi to delicious The Dutch Oven Shoppe!
Tell us a little about yourself. “I worked in the Aerospace industry for 32 years and did Dutch oven catering on the side. I bought my first oven in 1989. I practiced in scouts; they would eat anything. I now teach a class at USU Brigham City campus each fall, this will be my 4th year at doing that.“
What’s a memorable experience you’ve had while shooting up at Mt Naomi Vineyards?
“We enjoy going to Mt Naomi Vineyards because it has a good location and great atmosphere. The staff is very good to work with.”
How long have you been catering to the wedding industry?
“I have been catering for 30 years. “
Tell me about your menu.
“We just provide the main course of lunches or dinners, with most things being cooked in a Dutch Oven.“
“We try to please the customer with their requests. We have a good signature dinner that most people want as it meets most of their needs.”
What advice would you give couples planning their wedding?
“Don’t get too fancy with the food, people want a good solid meal.”
What are your specific logistics when it comes to the wedding day?
“ I show up 4 hours early and cook on location, that way people get to suffer thru the delicious smells that are generated. We get a lot of comments on how good it smells. Cooking on location lets them know that the food is fresh. “
I’m sure you book out pretty quickly! How can couples book you?
“The earlier the better but I have done dinners with less than one week’s notice if I am available.“
