From Soil to Soul

“...life every now and then becomes literature... as if life had been made and not happened.”

Our Roots

In 2008, Brenda & Keith moved their family to the farmstead so their children could grow up on the 75-year-old, generational farm. With this move came the decision to farm differently.

Germination

Determined to preserve the farm’s sustainable legacy, they painstakingly transformed pastureland into berry fields, creating a space where the community could connect with the living landscape and its soil.

The Pick-Your-Own fruit farm, “U-Pick,” offers a peaceful environment to experience the joy of harvesting flavorful fruits from the land. The berries represented a pivot from traditional Cache Valley agriculture.

Branches

What began as a U-pick operation and an experiment in regenerative agriculture soon evolved into a welcoming place for all, where people could gather and celebrate life’s sweetest and most poignant moments. Still, guests wanted to experience the vineyard’s soul in more profound ways.

In 2017, Brenda & Keith established Mt Naomi Vineyards venue, branching the farm’s role as a community gathering space. The vineyards beauty weaves a tapestry that transcends generations and seasons, touching every visitor with a sense of belonging and wonder.

Fruit of our Labor

As they expanded their vineyard with a greater variety of wine grapes, the unique location began to reveal its character, imparting a distinct soul and flavor to the wines Keith crafted in his home winery. After years of persistent effort and overcoming challenges with the local government, the winery was finally completed in 2025. That year’s harvest marked the first public release of their “soil to soul” wines from Mt Naomi Winery.

The living tapestry Brenda & Keith have created awaits the curious at heart to join them on this  “Journey from Soil to Soul”.
